Looking for your illustrator?
If you're a self publishing author, I feel your struggle. Choosing your illustrator is not an easy task.

That's why I've written down a short guide that sums up all the important stuff about working with me (budget included).

what we can do together
01
Full Book Illustration
From character design to the final illustrations, I’ll work closely with you to bring your story to life. My process includes plenty of sketches, feedback, and collaboration to ensure each image aligns with your vision. Typically, it takes 3 to 4 months to complete a book, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully crafted. As I illustrate, I can also offer feedback on the manuscript if something feels redundant—like descriptions that could be shown visually instead.
Keep in mind that I have a limited number of slots each year, and they tend to fill up quite in advance.

Cover illustration and cover design
No matter the project—picture books, early readers, middle-grade novels, or even poetry books for adults—a great cover can make or break a book. It's not just about having a catching and meaningful illustration; the layout and font choices are just as important to create a cohesive, professional look. A well-designed cover sets the tone for your entire book and makes readers want to dive in!
Starting at $1200
03
Book design and formatting
I truly enjoy following the entire process of a book from start to finish—it makes everything flow more smoothly and ensures a polished final product. When I’m involved from the beginning, I can plan a layout that not only complements the illustrations but also ties into the theme and overall tone of your book. Whether it’s balancing text placement or creating a visual flow that guides the reader through each page, I’ll make sure every element works in harmony to bring your story to life.
Starting at $700 | Included in the bundle for full book illustration
04
Coaching and consulting
If you're an author but feel uncertain about certain aspects of your project, or you just want a fresh, expert perspective, I’m here to help! Whether it's advice on illustrations, book design, story flow, or character development (visual aspects), I offer coaching and consulting to give you the guidance you need. I’ll evaluate your project, pinpoint areas for improvement, and provide clear, actionable advice to help elevate your work. Think of it as having an expert eye on your side to boost your confidence and make your book the best it can be. | $120 / 60-minute consultation

IIY - Illustrate It Yourself - 1 year program for authors
So, you’ve got a fantastic story brewing and want to illustrate it yourself? Welcome to IIY—the place where we help you unleash your inner artist (without me doing any of the drawing, of course)!
This is not an illustration or art course. I won’t be teaching you specific techniques or how to wield a paintbrush like a pro. Instead, I’ll offer insight and advice to help you navigate the world of self-illustration. Now, let’s be honest: hiring a professional illustrator is still the gold standard if you want that polished look. But sometimes budgeting feels like trying to squeeze into an old pair of jeans—it just doesn’t fit! So, if you’re ready to tackle self-illustration, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. | 1Y program $1300

Logo design
From the first idea to the final design, we can create a logo that truly reflects your brand's personality. I’ll work closely with you through brainstorming sessions, sketches, and feedback to make sure the final design matches your vision perfectly. A great logo should not only look fantastic but also capture the essence of your brand. The design process typically takes about 3 to 5 weeks, allowing us to refine and polish your logo until it’s just right. | Starting at $300

Deborah Stevenson, author
Aside from her considerable artistic talents, Stella is a joy to work with in all regards. She is professional, accommodating, and I trust her 100% to deliver a quality finished product within the agreed upon time and budget. She is a true collaborator with an eye for detail and a strong desire to create a book that not only can the author be proud of, but she can be proud of as well.

Angela Catrani, editor+agent
I met Stella a few years ago: multifaceted artist with great talent, author of short stories, creator of jewels and clothes. She has hands of gold and a patient nature, always willing to work and experiment, with humility and humor.
Stella illustrates a text trying to go beyond the surface and adding her own personal and original contribution.
Terrel Lefferts,

Each image is a beautiful work of art with small details and a masterful use of light and shadow to finesse the gorgeous life-like illustrations. As a thoughtful collaborator, Stella brings ideas to the table and helps with promotion.
